MATLOCK Park Bowls Club is offering a selection of taster sessions for those interested in trying their hand at crown green bowling.
The free sessions have been arranged as part of this year’s celebrations to mark the 100th anniversary of the town’s Hall Leys Park, where the club plays its home matches.
They will run each Friday from March 25 to April 29, between 2pm and 4pm. All are welcome, bowls are provided and those coming along are asked to bring flat soled footwear.
A club spokesman said: “These are informal sessions but if we get enough numbers coming along, the Derbyshire Crown Green Bowls Association has offered to run qualified coaching sessions later in the year, so we hope to see as many people as possible coming along to have a go.”
