There was only going to be one winner in the second of three fell races held in the delightful Peat Pits Woods, Alderwasley on Easter Sunday.
Derby Athletic Club’s Josh Bull went straight into the lead and was never overtaken, passing the 5km mark of the tough 10km event well over a minute ahead, a lead he increased to almost three minutes at the end.
He eventually finished the 10KM in a time of 42mins and 52 secs.
Second was Jason Burgess of Staffs Moorlands, third was Dean Cross of Sutton in Ashfield HAC and fourth was Robert Donald of Shelton Striders.
Among the local runners, Mick Moorhouse of Matlock AC was 28th and Rob Eadon of Wirksworth RC one place behind him.
