Meanwhile, Jesters MMA students took part in a club grading day last weekend with nine students involved in grading, from white belt all the way up to brown belt.
All the students had trained really hard in the run-up to grading day with a gruelling three hours of grading for the higher grades that not only tested their technical abilities but also their fitness.
A fantastic day was had by all and instructors and students’ parents were very impressed and proud of how the day went and the quality of technical knowledge of even the youngest students, ranging from eight years up to the oldest in the group at 13 years.
If anyone is interested in learning the club’s very own mixed martial arts syllabus, the junior class for eight years upwards is on every Wednesday evening from 7pm to 8pm at the club, which is based to the rear of John Hadfield House on Dale Road in Matlock.
