Revving up for Bank Holiday action at Darley Moor

The second Round of Darley Moor Motorcycle Road Race Club’s championship is to take place on Easter Monday (April 25).

In Round One, Kev Cooper surprised the regulars in the Pre 98 class after taking two wins at his first meeting in the class.

After suffering bad luck in the first Peak Cup race, Shane Pearson then became the man to beat in the Open Solo and final Peak Cup race.

Richard Wardle, Lee Vernon and Chesterfield’s Chris Sammons took their share of podium places in the classes and will be looking to capitalise on any mistakes or bad luck suffered.

Ricky Tarren recorded his first Darley Moor 125GP victory.

The Sound of Thunder races now have a second class running within, the Mini Sound of Thunder machines. Although they are for a smaller capacity four stroke machine, up to 650cc, they were upsetting the apple cart a little at Round One and challenging for the outright race win, .

Practice begins at 10am with the first race expected at 11.30am. For further information please log onto the club’s website

where you can also listen to live commentary direct from the meeting if you cannot attend.
