Matlock Golf Club members have enjoyed excellent weather conditions during another busy week.

The ladies bronze team played Brailsford at home, winning by a margin of 4.5 to 0.5 while Carol Hill won the ladies medal with a gross 87 (17) 70.

The men’s senior team played Alfreton at home, winning 4.5 to 0.5 and the vice–captain’s team won 4.5 to 0.5 away at Dore and Totley.

On Saturday, the Scratch Cup was held.

The winners of the men’s section were: -

Division One and lowest gross: Richard Duff

Division Two: tie between Les Mooney and Neil Fennah. A play-off is to be arranged

The winners of the ladies divisions were: -

Silver Division: Judy Gascoyne. Bronze Division: Sheila Allen

Sunday saw the Speed Golf Challenge taking place with a team of 12 members racing round the course in a time of just 27 minutes and 5 seconds. All proceeds will go to the Captain’s Charity, Hearing Dogs for the Deaf.
