LOCAL youngsters showed their talent with a cue at the Whitworth Cue Club Finals, which were staged recently at the Whitworth Centre in Darley Dale.
Cheered on by friends and family members, the young players battled it out for the trophies.
The seniors and juniors played round robin games in their respective groups with the top two from each contesting the finals.
The junior final was a close-run affair with Tom Wilson just beating George Barnet to the winning post.
In the senior section, Adam Stewart proved to be just a little too good for a very useful Tom Parkin.
All participants in the finals received medals for their efforts on the day while the four semil-finalists were presented with trophies by club treasurers.
