Second over the line was Tom Harris who had led the race for every lap but was beaten by an excellent move from Fairhurst on the final corner which saw Harris retire from the rest of the meeting with damage, whilst third place went to Dan Johnson.

Another formula travelling from around the country were the V8 Hot Stox who contested their British Championship.

Craig Smith took the chequered flag and the chequered roof for 2013, closely followed by Karl Harkins and Kevin Stuchbury.

The next major action to take place at Buxton raceway is the Bank Holiday Championship weekend with racing taking place on both Bank Holiday Sunday (August 25) at 2.30pm and Monday (August 26) at 1pm.

Amongst the highlights of the weekend will be the Car Jump Championship which takes place on the Monday.
