Midlands Regional Alliance Round-up
Derby Rolls Royce Leisure became the new title favourites after Sean Gordon netted an injury-time winner at Rowsley ’86.
That goal was Gordon’s second of the game, with Tim Baker on target for Rowsley. Royce sat level on points with Melbourne but with a game in hand ahead of matches played last night (Wednesday).
Another injury-time winner saw Matlock Sports return from Sandiacre Town with all three points.
Joe Turner had scored for the hosts, but a brace of goals from Callum Lytham secured victory for Sports.
Another 2-1 away win came at Cromford, where goals from Aaron Taylor and Carl Moore helped Wirksworth Town to victory, with Ady Kershaw replying for the hosts.
Ryan Walters and Vince Kinder netted in Wirksworth Ivanhoe’s 2-0 win over Tibshelf as they consolidate top spot in Division One, five points ahead of Rowsley ’86 Reserves who won 4-2 at Shardlow St James.
In Division Two, Jacob Gunton netted for Matlock Town CFA to inflict a surprise 1-0 defeat on long-time leaders Stapleford Town.
