The Buxton Triathlon is based at the Buxton Swimming and Fitness Centre in Pavilion Gardens and takes in some of the finest scenery of the Peak District and Goyt Valley.

The race kicks off with a 400m swim in the Buxton Pool, before the 21km cycle leg that takes in a tour of the Peak District countryside, including Long Hill and the Ranger’s track up the Goyt Valley before a thrilling descent into Buxton from the Cat & Fiddle.

The run then takes the athletes around the leafy streets of Buxton with the finish line in the Pavilion Gardens.

The competitors start in waves, with the first wave scheduled for 7am.
