Laila Brown and Shannon Harrison both had hard fights but, undeterred, dug in to also earn silver medals.
Brandon Harrison had a tough group but battled hard and managed to bag himself a bronze.
It was returning wrestler Troy Hunt who caught the coaches’ eye for wrestler of the competition, as in narrowly missing out on a medal he showed great determination and technique as well as a constant smile on his face.
This proved a good warm up for the Derbyshire Open which is to be held at Wirksworth Leisure Centre this Saturday. Wrestling takes place from around 11am onwards and all are welcome to attend.
