This year’s tattoo was due to take place at Buxton Dome on Saturday, July 4. A statement on the website says: “Despite considering alternative dates later on this year, it was decided that the uncertainty over the length of restrictions and return to ‘regular’ life meant that we could not offer any particular performance date with absolute certainty. The Royal British Legion, mindful of the government advice regarding vulnerable people, feels that it would not be right to ask customers to commit to coming to the Tattoo at a time when they may still have uncertainty about their safety in public places.”

Tickets bought for this year’s show will be honoured for Buxton Military Tattoo 2021.
