An overwhelming response has been received by the Amber Valley-based band and dancer Demolitia Tribal, after their touring vehicle was broken into late last year and all their stage set, instruments, merchandise and personal clothing removed, while parked overnight between two Yorkshire gigs.

None of the items has been recovered.

Already the band have been delighted by donations, pledges and items sold for their benefit.

Now the long awaited Day Of The Dog event is almost upon us as the band get ready to make the short journey up the A6.

The event at The Fishpond, Matlock Bath, offers an opportunity for local music fans and steampunks from near and far to show their support while enjoying a feast of music.

Local artists giving of their time and talent are Whiskey Bob Shaker, Gripper and The Gurnards, The King Bains and 3:Second: Fuse, and, from the wider steampunk community, Crimson Clocks, Birthrite, Metropolis and Gladstone.

During the day, an auction will take place, with many fine and unique items being donated by traders and individuals from far and wide.

The night will be topped off with BB Blackdog performing for only the third time this year.

Organiser Caroline Sharp said “she hoped it would be an amazing celebration” and was eager to thank not only the artists, some travelling from Suffolk and contributors of auction items, but also Ted Edwards for supplying the sound, The Fishpond for the venue and all who have offered help on the day.

The bash starts at 2pm and will run until midnight. Tickets are £7 in advance, from http://www.steampunkrecords.com/ or £10 on the door.
