Lucy Ward and Barry Coope head live folk music sessions in Derby

Derbyshire singers and instrumentalists will be bringing live folk music back to Derby market place.

Stars such as Lucy Ward, Barry Coope and Fi Fraser will perform over the weekend of October 24 and 25 in sessions offering a mix of traditional and contemporary folk-rock, old-time songs and instrumentals.

The programme is:

Saturday, October 24 – 11.30am: Steve and Julie Wigley, 1pm: Some Antics, 2.30pm: Sarah Matthews and Doug Eunson.

Saturday, October 24 – 5.30pm: The Newcranes (acoustic), 7pm: Apple Skins, 8.30pm: Lucy Ward.

Sunday, October 25 – 11.15am: Threaded, 1pm: Intarsia, 2.30pm: Rare Occasion.

Sunday, October 25 – 5.30pm: Phil Doleman, 7.15pm: Keith Kendrick and Sylvia Needham; 8.30pm: Barry Coope and Fi Fraser.
