Prog rock king Steven Wilson will play in Sheffield – here’s how to get tickets

Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Steven Wilson will play in Sheffield in support of his new album.

The prog rock champion has a show lined up at the City Hall on Thursday, September 9, 2021.

Steven’s new album, The Future Bites, is due out in January next year; a track from it - 12 Things I Forgot - was released recently. A limited edition of the album was released on pre-order on Black Friday and raised £10,000 for the charity Music Venue Trust to help establishments whose takings have been hit by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Steven became known as the vocalist of Porcupine Tree.. He was crowned the king of prog rock at the Progressive Music Awards in 2015, a ceremony at which he received three honours.

He has attracted four Grammy nominations – twice with Porcupine Tree, once for his band Storm Corrosion and once as a soloist.
