Squeeze songwriter Chris Difford to play at Jools Holland’s show in Sheffield and Lulu is special guest at Nottingham

King of the keyboard Jools Holland has announced the special guests on his upcoming tour, which visits Sheffield and Nottingham.

Enduring star Lulu will perform during Jools’ show at Nottingham Royal Concert Hall on November 12, 2021 and Squeeze frontman Chris Difford will perform alongside the boogie-woogie pianist at Sheffield City Hall on November 26, 2021.

Britain’s first lady of rock and soul, Lulu, last toured with Jools in 2007 and will be celebrating 57 years since the release of smash hit Shout in 2021. In 2019 she once again toured as very special guest on Take That’s Greatest Hits Live tour.

Followers of Jools Holland will be familiar with his Squeeze co-founder, sometimes songwriting and touring partner, Chris Difford. As well as writing songs and playing guitar for Squeeze, Chris has written with Elton John, Paul Carrack, Lisa Stansfield, Bryan Ferry, Helen Shapiro and Elvis Costello.

This 25th anniversary tour features long-term vocalist Ruby Turner, with her breathtaking gospel, soul, blues vocals and songs written with Jools, as well as Louise Marshall, whose mellifluous voice illuminates all she sings. Also on tour is original Squeeze drummer Gilson Lavis.

Jools is currently recording his next album which will focus on his piano stylings, some duets and collaborations with other top artists and will be released later in 2021.
