Ice and easy does it for show’s stars

Dancing on Ice series three winner - and producer of new ice show Professionals on Ice - Suzanne Shaw, along with skating stars Matt Evers and Frankie Poultney, dropped in on the National Ice Centre’s public skating session to perform some of their moves ahead of The Professionals on Ice’s appearance in the city Saturday, April 27.

The professional skating stars delighted NIC skaters by putting on a show which included sensational lifts and hair-raising headbangers, plus two lucky youngsters were chosen to take part in a skate with the pros.

Shaw was lifted onto the ice by her series three partner Matt Evers and they all posed for pictures and signed autographs for fans.

The Professionals on Ice includes the professional skaters who appear in ITV’s Dancing on Ice.

They will demonstrate their breath-taking skills on a national tour, which will be kicking off at the Capital FM Arena Nottingham on Saturday, April 27.

The Professionals on Ice will feature many of the Dancing on Ice champions, along with many of the viewers’ other favourite skaters from the current and previous series.

Subject to availability, these will include Matt Evers, Frankie Poultney, Sylvain Longchambon, Maria Filippov, Mark Hanretty, Jodeyne Higgins, Sean Rice, Andy Buchanan, Robin Johnstone, Lukasz Rozycki, Alexandra Schauman and Vicky Ogden. They will be joined by surprise special guests at the various venues on the tour.

The show will be a spectacular combination of high adrenaline action, hit music and dazzling skill suitable for all the family.

Tickets are priced at £29 for adults and £19.50 for children under 16.

n Due to popular demand, comedian Micky Flanagan will visit Capital FM Arena Nottingham on a second date. This is to take place on Friday, November 15.

Micky’s first date at Capital FM Arena Nottingham on Thursday, November 14, is almost sold out.

Flanagan’s DVD - Micky Flanagan Live: The Out Out Tour – was the number one selling stand up DVD during 2012.

His show stealing performances on the small screen earned him a prestigious British Comedy Award nomination and The Sun’s Comedian Of The Year Award.

Micky Flanagan has appeared on The Royal Variety Performance, regularly on Mock The Week, plus the likes of Have I Got News For You, 8 Out of 10 Cats – amongst others – and this year will see him cement his reputation as one of the superstars of British stand up comedy.

n Meanwhile, pop superstars Blue have confirned they are to join The Big Reunion in Nottingham.

Duncan, Lee, Simon and Anthony are back!

Blue have confirmed they will perform in The Big Reunion concert, which is to take place at Capital FM Arena Nottingham on May 9.

They will join 5IVE, Atomic Kitten, B*witched, Liberby X, 911 and Honeyz in this mustsee show, which comes on the back of the smash-hit ITV2 of the same name, reuniting top pop acts from the 1990s.
