ROSALIND Forster and Josie Walter will be holding a spring exhibition of paintings, prints, pots and greetings cards on Saturday and Sunday, March 19 and 20, at South Darley Village Hall.
Escaping the awful winter weather, Rosalind has spent the winter months on a small Greek island where she has a home and a studio. Winter there is a time of regrowth, when the parched landscape of the summer is replaced by a lush green look with new flowers and trees in bloom each week.
Rosalind’s new paintings of floral still lifes reflect her love of this time of year there and herald the approach of spring here. Other new work is a series of landscapes of places she loves to walk in and there is also a selection of her lineout prints.
Josie’s colourful ceramics complement this work perfectly and the exhibition should provide a breath of spring air after such a hard winter. The exhibition is open from 10am to 6pm on the Saturday and 10am to 5pm on the Sunday.
