Matlock Film Society will be hosting Meek’s Cutoff on Sunday, October 30. Described as “Africa’s Slumdog Millionaire” the intense story of endurance and survival along the nineteenth century Oregon trail was one of the critical hits of last year.
Alluding to the films of John Ford and Sergio Leone, director Kelly Reichardt conjures up a harsh and beautiful world with stunning cinematography and a powerful performance by Michelle Williams.
The film will take place at 7.30pm in Matlock’s Imperial Rooms.
