Rain can’t ruin fun at Gulliver’s

A CHILDREN’S theme park is promising rainy days won’t put a dampener on the fun this summer.

Gulliver’s in Matlock Bath is designed to offer maximum family fun whatever the Great British weather has in store.

With more than 50 per cent of its rides and attractions under cover, Gulliver’s has prepared its parks for rainy days, ensuring there’s plenty to do come rain or shine.

Last year’s top-selling product at the theme park was a waterproof poncho, after theme park visitors experienced unexpected downpours throughout the soggy summer.

Gulliver’s managing director Julie Dalton said: “We experienced fantastic weather throughout May so we’ve all got our fingers crossed for a heatwave this summer, but having experienced the worst case scenario we always prepare for lots of rainy days just in case.

“I’m hoping the waterproof poncho sales hit an all-time low this summer and we can all bask in the sunshine but if not, we’re at least ready to offer families a great day out under cover!”

Gulliver’s will be open throughout the summer holidays, with CBeebies stars The ZingZillas performing shows on selected dates. Gulliver’s has launched a fully inclusive ticket for 2012, which includes admission, an all you can eat pizza and pasta meal, retail voucher and ice cream.
