See rock docs on the big screen at Quad

Elvis and The Stones Roses feature in films with music theme at Quad inDerby during May.

All The Right Notes hosts a screening of Elvis: That’s The Way It Is, featuring The King preparing for his first Vegas shows only a year after his triumphant Comeback Special.

Elvis: That’s The Way It Is (PG) screens on Friday, May 3, at 6.30pm. Tickets are £7.60 full price and £6 concessions.

Following the screening All The Right Notes Bring Your Own Vinyl Night takes place in the Café bar.

The Stone Roses: Made Of Stone is Uttoxeter’s Shane Meadows’s highly anticipated documentary about Manchester’s legendary Stone Roses and their surprising resurrection in 2012 with a string of worldwide concert dates.

Capturing the band at work and behind-the-scenes backstage footage mixed with the band in their everyday lives, the film culminates in three triumphant homecoming gigs at Heaton Park in front of 220,000 fans. The screening is on May 30 at 7.30pm and there will be a Q&A with Shane Meadows and The Stone Roses broadcast live from Manchester.
