Paul Potts, the UK’s original and best-loved Britain’s Got Talent winner is set to charm his fans in the High Peak, as part of a major UK tour.
Following his winning performance in the smash-hit TV competition Paul found global success with his powerful, emotive and operatic voice.
His debut album One Chance topped the charts in nine countries and the star has now performed more live shows than any other contestant from a talent search programme.
In recognition of Paul’s meteoric rise to fame, his life story was turned into a film entitled One Chance, starring comedian James Corden.
Seven years after his celebrated season one BGT victory, Paul will perform at Buxton Opera House on Tuesday, October 27.
He said: “I’m delighted to be touring the UK again. I enjoyed last year’s tour so much that I decided to go back out and visit some of the towns and cities that we didn’t get to last time.”
Complementing Paul is guest Catriona Murray, a classical soprano from Nottingham, who was discovered this year by Britain’s Got Talent winner Jamie Lambert.
