Lesley Joseph stars in Annie at Sheffield Lyceum

Birds of a Feather actress Lesley Joseph is starring in Annie, the world’s favourite musical, which visits Sheffield next week.

She plays the tyrannical orphanage boss Miss Hannigan in the show which is set in 1930s New York during The Great Depression.

The musical revolves around brave young Annie who is forced to live a life of misery and torment at the orphanage. Determined to find her real parents, her luck changes when she is chosen to spend Christmas at the residence of the famous Oliver Warbucks. Spiteful Miss Hannigan has other ideas and hatches a plan to spoil Annie’s hunt.

This new production includes the unforgettable songs Hard Knock Life, Easy Street, I Don’t Need Anything But You and Tomorrow.
