Award-winning young artist Fergus Carmichael has secured a second exhibition in London.

Fergus, whose family live in Foolow, is exhibiting a painting at the Lloyds Register Gallery this month.

His oil on canvas, entitled Conflict, was chosen by the Royal Society of British Artists for the society’s RBA Rising Stars exhibition.

He will display his painting at the 2015 RBA Annual Exhibition in The Mall Gallery from March 11-22.

Fergus has been accorded a travel bursary by Sheffield Decorative and Fine Art Society (SDFAS) after being honoured with a NADFAS RBA Scholars award. He received the bursary from the Master Cutler David Grey at the Sheffield Young Artists A Level Exhibition, where Conflict was on display.

He painted the work while studying at Silverdale School in Sheffield.

Fergus is now a first year undergraduate at Newcastle University where he is studying Fine Art.
