The 90s indie sound for most is unforgettable.

Bands such as Oasis, The Stone Roses and Stereophonics ruled the airwaves.

Derbyshire based band Frank are on a mission to bring the guitar oriented sound back and are going to be hitting the music scene hard.

The five piece are made up of Craig Wheeldon (vocals), Gaz McCabe (rhythm guitar/song writer), Tom Furnival (drums), John Priestly (lead guitar) and Andy Page (bass/song writer).

All members have been in bands before. Craig and Gaz wereboth in The Piracy until they split last year, drummer Tom are from Neon Railroad and Blackout, John was also in Blackout while Andy Page is singer/guitarist in signed Matlock band The Something?.

The band members all met on the buzzing local music scene and all found common ground in the love of British indie music. The lads will be recording their first E.P at the end of September recording which will feature three tracks and should be out early November.

They will be playing on Saturday, September 20 at the Sun Inn, Chesterfield, on October 4 at the Black Hippo in Matlock and October 11 at The Loft in Matlock.
