A POPULAR village pub is set to stage the first of its two annual free music festivals on Easter Monday.
Mowfest will be taking place at The Barley Mow in Bonsall, on the pub’s car park.
Landlord of the 18th century freehouse, David Wragg, said: “It was so great last year we decided to do it twice a year, every year.
“There are some really great local bands at the moment, and we have a brilliant line up for this first one.”
Fun kicks off at 1pm and seven bands will be playing including rock and blues duo King Bains, local band of the moment 3 Second Fuse and the mighty BB Blackdog will once again be headlining the event.
David added: “Its always a pretty surreal site to see all ages getting down and dancing in our car park to their special brand of Germanic psychedelic rock.” The pub is the current Matlock and Dales CAMRA pub of the year so expect quality real ales and cask cider as well as a barbecue.
