Families are making tracks for a city’s market place where a real ice rink has been erected.

The rink in Derby’s Cathedral Quarter is open for skating until January 4.

For those who can’t skate or aren’t very confident yet, ice skating lessons are available.

Led by an experienced skater who works at the rink, each lesson lasts approximately 40 minutes and can be done as a private lesson or up to a group of three people.

For more information or to book private hire of the rink and skate lessons contact or 01789 262701.

A Christmas Arts & Craft fair is set up alongside the ice rink, showcasing independent crafters.
