Five Matlock-based artists will join 60 Peak District Artisans at their annual art fair in Buxton.
Ceramicists Gary Sampson and Ann Bates, fine artists Liz Wellby and Eddie Hallam and jeweller Rachel Emmerson will be displaying their work in The Dome, Buxton this weekend.
Eddie will be among a selection of members who will deliver demonstrations and talks.
The group’s chairman, Ingrid Karlsson-Kemp said: “The demonstrations are always very popular, whilst the talks are a great opportunity for visitors to meet the artists and appreciate the range of skills we have to offer.”
Twelve members of the group will create specific pieces of work to contribute to a silent auction.
Running throughout the weekend, the auction will raise money for local charity Lane End Farm; a working hill farm where disabled and disadvantaged young people can be at one with nature and connect with their beautiful surroundings and the farm animals.
Lane End Farm caters for young adults from all walks of life; inner city, deprived, abused, neglected, disabled (both mentally and physically), or with learning difficulties and behavioural problems.
The Silent Art Auction will run for the duration of the Great Dome Art Fair, beginning at 6pm on the Friday preview evening and closing at 3pm on Sunday afternoon.
The exhibition runs from 10am to 4.30pm on Saturday and Sunday, July 18 and 19. Admission is free.
