Alison Moyet will be bringing her UK tour to Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall later this year, on the back of the release of her latest album.
The world-renowned singing icon has sales of more than 20 million records to her credit, both as a solo artist and as one half of influential synth duo Yazoo.
Her first album for six years, the minutes, is released in May and the UK tour reaches the Nottingham venue on October 27.
the minutes has subtle parallels to her synth-pop past, but is also bang up-to-date, taking in elements of high-end pop smashes, R&B, modern club sounds and electronic experimentation.
In recent years, Alison Moyet has branched out into acting, appearing onstage in Chicago and she reformed Yazoo briefly with Vince Clarke in 2008 in order to play live the material they had never previously performed.
