Busy time for BB Blackdog

Local Band BB BlackDog are back in the East Midlands to bring their unique style of rock with a psychedelic, funk, blues feel to local venues.

Having completed almost 50 gigs already this year including another successful trip to the US to headline two festivals, they start their string of local gigs at the George and Dragon, Bridge Street, Belper, on Friday, July 13, from 9pm, moving on to the Brewery Tap in Derby for an afternoon event from 4pm-8pm on Sunday, July, 15.

There is then a well-earned break prior to appearing at the Rock and Blues Festival, Pentrich, on July 28.

As usual the three-piece band will be accompanied by Demolitia Tribal, providing dance and stage show duties at the concerts.

BB BlackDog are making waves in the rapidly growing steampunk scene, where people dress in Victorian style with a science fiction twist.

Dale Rowles from the Band commented: “We’re loving the steampunk scene. Everyone’s so friendly, creative, and supportive.

“It’s nice to be around polite well-mannered people, just out to have a great time, dressed splendidly.”
