Chiefs head out on tour again

CHART favourites the Kaiser Chiefs have announced their first tour in two years and will be dropping in for a gig at Derby’s Assembly Rooms on Thursday, February 2.

The tour follows the band’s re-emergence this year with their new – fourth – album, The Future Is Medieval, a host of UK festival appearances, including a euphoric return to Glastonbury, V Festival, two huge sell-out shows at Leeds’ Kirkstall Abbey and some shows on the European festival circuit.

Famed for three albums recorded in rapid succession during the latter half of the past decade – Employment, Yours Truly The Angry Mob and Off With Their Heads – Kaiser Chiefs took a calculated gamble and decided to regroup out of the spotlight with a self-imposed hiatus.

The band released their new single, Man On Mars on August 29.

For their concert date in Derby early booking is strongly recommended.

So, if you’re a fan, make sure you get your ticket nice and early.
