Tideswell Male Voice Choir members are in action again this weekend, making a return by popular demand to the beautiful surroundings of Gawsworth Hall near Macclesfield, on Sunday, August 10.

From 6.30pm, the choir will perform a full vibrant and emotive show as part of Gawsworth Hall’s Garden Theatre Season, which will also see stars such as Jimmy Carr, Michael Palin and Barbara Dickson tread the boards of this unique outdoor theatre.

Audience demand sees the choir performing again their rendition of songs from Les Miserables. The medley of pieces will feature the young soloists Erin Alexander, Charlotte Hoather, Matthew Mellor, Madeleine Osborne, Phil Rigley and Kieron-Connor Valentine.

Principal accompanist and assistant director of music, Christopher Ellis will again leave the audience ‘spellbound’ on the stage piano. This year will see an exciting new dimension as Derrick McGill, a highly accomplished percussionist, and now a permanent part of the music team, adds another layer of sound.

“We are really pleased to be asked to appear again in the Garden Theatre, it offers such a beautiful backdrop with the historical gardens and Tudor Courtyard”, said the choir’s principal conductor and director of music, Dennis Kay.

“Last year was a great experience and the guys are really excited to be performing here once more”.

Tickets are selling fast and are available through the choir’s own booking office on 01538 266358 or 07973 864520.
