The full line up of bands is announced for the fourth annual Yorkshire Cajun and Zyedeco Festival at the Milton Rooms, Malton, has been confirmed.
It will be held over the weekend of March 13, 14, 15.
Organisers said there are eight bands bands from Europe and the UK making this the largest festival of its kind in the UK.
In the lined up are: Bluebell Cajun Dance Band from Scotland, Chowder from the UK, the French outfit La Gang Du Queteux and Yorkshire’s Wandering Aces.
One of the star bands from the first festival in 2012, Zydegonutz from Holland are returning.
Mirikools – featuring Miriam Hogan on guitar and vocals and led by Phil Underwood, one of the giants of the UK Cajun scene – are also on the bill.
Dwayne Ego and the Electricians and Bosco Beret complete the line-up.
“You don’t have to be in a band to play at the festival. Musicians of all levels can play in theinformal sessions during the weekend and there will also be more formal workshops whereinstruction will be given in fiddle, accordion and percussion,” said organiser Glyn Roberts.
