Flowerpot plays host to double bill of tributes

The new season at The Flowerpot in Derby kicks off this weekend with a visit by two top tribute acts.

On Friday, August 29, the visitors to the King Street venue will be The Sex Pistols Experience.

The band features Johnny Rotter, Steve Jones, Kid Vicious and Paul Crook, performing blistering cover versions of some of the most famous tracks from the punk legends, whose notoriety and influence is still evident all these years later.

Then, on Saturday, August 30, the King Street venue plays host to A Foreigner’s Journey, a two-for-one tribute experience.

This band, returning to The Flowerpot by popular demand, pays tribute to not just one but two bands, namely Foreigner and Journey.

A Foreigner’s Journey are a busy live band with a set packed full of classic tracks that were made famous by the two legendary American rock bands.

Then, on Wednesday, September 3, the bar at the venue is the setting for the latest in the series of free Acoustic Wednesdays sessions.
