Helix Ensemble will return to St Peters Church in Belper on Saturday, May 10, at 7.30pm, to perform as part of the Belper Music Festival 2014.
The main work in the programme is the Mozart Piano Concerto in G major K453, a lovely sunny piece played by international award winner Jane Ford.
The other works may be less well known but are just as melodic.
The Abel Symphony is a light, bubbly classical work originally attributed to Mozart. The Suite for Strings by Nielsen is melodic and very attractive, and the Martinu Nonet, with its interesting Czech rhythms, brings a vibrant colour to the programme.
If you want to sample these works in advance, just go to http://www.youtube.com, then come and hear them performed live in Belper.
Tickets for the concert at £12 (£10 concessions) are available from the box office in Belper at Creative Showrooms, from the Belper Arts Festival website, on the door or you can reserve tickets by calling 01773 768797.
Refreshments will be available at the interval.
