Get ready to sample the Magic Of Motown when the popular touring show comes to Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall on Saturday, September 21, at 7.30pm.

Direct from the USA, The Magic of Motown returns with its I’ll Be There 2013 Tour featuring an all-new show, packed with 36 back-to-back massive Motown hits.

Show producer Michael Taylor said of the production: “Five-star performances authentically revive the style and sophistication of all the Detroit legends.”

Hits by the Temptations, Supremes, Four Tops, Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Lionel Richie and more feature in the hit concert show.

“There’s dazzling dance moves and glittering costumes galore,” said Michael. “Plus the incredible Magic of Motown band, tighter than Motown’s house band the Funk Brothers in their prime.”

This year is a very special one as far as Motown is concerned, according to Michael. “It marks 50 years of number one hits from the world’s favourite record label,” he explained.

In 1963, Motown artists were regularly topping the charts in the States.

Heat Wave by Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, You Really Got a Hold On Me by The Miracles, It Should’ve Been Me by Kim Weston, Fingertips Pt 2 by Little Stevie Wonder and Can I Get a Witness by Marvin Gaye paved the way for the label’s meteoric rise to become the most influential and successful record label of all time.

To mark the occasion, The Magic of Motown is preparing to sign, seal and deliver (with a nod to Stevie Wonder) its biggest production ever in its ten-year history with the planned tour taking in 100 prestigious venues from Aberdeen to the Isle of Wight and all points in between.

Male lead Andre Lejaune says that the cast has rehearsed an all-new arena show for 2013 to celebrate this golden anniversary.

“With many new numbers added to our already hit-packed show we needed to ensure the choreography was right on point,” says the talented Floridian singer.

“The show is called The Magic of Motown for a reason, it’s our job to ensure theatregoers have a truly magical night to remember.

“Don’t miss the show of the year and its I’ll Be There 2013 Tour. . . just call its name and you’ll be there.”

The Magic of Motown revives all-time favourites like: Stop in the Name of Love; Signed, Sealed, Delivered; My Guy; What Becomes of the Broken Hearted; I Heard it Through the Grapevine; Endless Love; All Night Long; Heatwave; I’m Coming Out and Why Do Fools Fall in Love, to name just a few.
