Pianist Kaoru Bingham will be giving a recital at Hassop Hall on Monday, April 4.
Born in Japan, she began playing the piano when she was five and went on to graduate from Trinity College of Music, London, having been awarded all the piano prizes.
She was Professor of Piano at Trinity College from 1991 until 2001. Her career as a concert pianist has included tours in Europe and East Asia which have received consistent critical acclaim.
Her performance in the ballroom at Hassop Hall gets under way at 7.45pm and features a number of transcriptions made by Franz Lizst, plus Mozart’s Piano Sonata in A Minor.
