Power trio Stray will be rocking out at The Flowerpot in Derby on Friday, June 27, still fronted by founder member Del Bromham.

A British band that has toured with Iron Maiden are bringing their melodic hard rock to the King Street venue.

Del Bromham’s Stray are one of the hardest working and enduring British rock bands of the last three decades.

The band were one of the stars of this year’s Rock and Blues Festival at Skegness in January and are now set to perform at the Flowerpot with special guests Motherlode.

Stray’s song, All in Your Mind, from their 1970 debut album, was covered by Iron Maiden.

Stray toured the globe with Iron Maiden from South America to the old Eastern bloc countries, showing that rock remains a universal language.

Expect fiery rocking blues and passion from Stray as they play tracks from their vast back catalogue and their more recent albums.

Support on the night comes from Motherlode.

Then, on Saturday, June 28, there’s the return of Too Rex with their tribute to the music of Marc Bolan and T-Rex.

Too Rex feature Bobby T as Marc Bolan. He looks like him and sounds like him and he’s got the same onstage persona and vibe.

This authentic tribute show covers the whole spectrum of Bolan’s career from the early hippie days of Tyrannosaurus Rex to the chart topping smash hits of T-Rex.

Too Rex recreate the live concert feel of a real T-Rex gig, it’s the closest you’ll ever get. Bobby T’s performance takes his impersonation of Bolan very seriously.

This nostalgic 70s trip down memory lane includes the following songs: I Love To Boogie, Cosmic Dancer, Get In On, Hot Love, Jeepster, Children of The Revolution, Ride A White Swan, Telegram Sam, plus many more.

Grab your feather boas and spaceball shoes and get ready to re-live the music of the legendary Marc Bolan and T-Rex.

This is 70′s Glam Rock at its absolute best.

Then, on Wednesday, July 2, the latest of the free Acoustic Wednesday sessions takes place in the bar.

Performing a set of acoustic rock and blues will be Double Cross.

Doors open for all three gigs at 8pm.

Admission is £10 for Stray and £10 for Too Rex.
