MFN show for metal veterans

Legendary NWOBHM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal) Hell will play a special show at the MFN club, Shipley Gate, on New Year’s Eve.

The band who originally formed in 1981 and disbanded after the tragic suicide of singer Dave Halliday in 1987, reformed in 2010 and were immediately signed by major European label Nuclear Blast.

Since then, Hell have gone from strength to strength, playing the vast Download festival in June where over 70,000 were in attendance and currently are touring the world.

The band remain very much in touch with their home area fanbase and will always return home to their Notts/Derbyshire fans.

The New Year’s Eve show is one of just two UK dates on the current tour and is a show not to be missed, with Hell guitarist Kev Bower, who hails from Ilkeston, promising a minblowing show and the world premiere of at least three new songs.

Tickets are priced at £10 in advance, £15 on the door and can obtained via Hell’s website at or via Metal Mansions Promotions on 07903 610487, paypal to or can be collected in person from Zebra Muzik in Ilkeston.

The gig is open to all ages and there is even a coach laid on from Nottingham, Long Eaton and Ilkeston. Doors open at 8pm and the venue closes at 2am.
