THE members of the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra will be performing an all-Russian programme of works at Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall on Wednesday, October 12, starting at 7.30pm.
Conductor Yuri Simonov will be leading the orchestra through performances of one of Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet suites, Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto, and Rachmaninov’s First Symphony, a multi-faceted work that had a disastrous premiere in 1897 but has since become recognised as one of the composer’s most attractive offerings.
The concert will feature Nikita Boriso-Glebsky as the violin soloist.
Tickets cost £10-£32. They are available by calling the box office on 0115 9895555.
