Musicians are pulling strings to raise money for a children’s hospice.
The Peak Guitar Quartet, composed of Nadia Marsh, Mick Pearce, Derek Taylor and Steve Marsh will perform at Bakewell’s Medway Centre on Saturday, May 17, at 7.30pm.
The evening will feature music for four guitars, two guitars and solo guitar and will include a wide variety of music from around the world.
Compositions by Jenkins, Vivaldi, Albeniz, Bonfa, Marsh, Gangi, Farrauto, Abreu, Bottai and Dylan will be among the selections.
Tickets are £10 and proceeds will be given to Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, near Dinnington.
The hospice needs more than £3m to provide vital services for young patients and their families and receives only five percent of statutory funding towards its requirement.
Two other concerts are to be given by the Peak Guitar Quartet at The Bishop’s House, Sheffield, and the United Reformed Church, Wirksworth, on Friday, May 9, and Saturday, May 10, recspectively.
