The Sunday Morning Piano Series will return to Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall later this year with recitals given by five leading instrumentalists.
The hour-long recitals some of the most exciting piano players around.
The season kicks off on Sunday, October 19, from 11am, with Anna Federova performing works by Beethoven, Chopin, Medtner and Rachmaninov.
The second recital is on November 16.
Ji Liu will be the guest performer, playing works by the likes of Rzewski, Schubert, Gershwin and Gounod.
After that, there will be a visit from Denes Varjon for the first recital of 2015, taking place on January 25.
On the programme will be piano works by Chopin, Janacek and Robert Schumann.
Mark Bebbington will pay a visit on Sunday, February 22.
His recital includes Beethoven’s Sonata In F Minor, Op 57, ‘Appassionata’, John Ireland’s three London Pieces and two works by Chopin: the Nocturne In F Major Op. 15 No 1, and the Scherzo In B Flat Minor.
Finally, the season of recitals concludes on Sunday, March 22. The performance is by Ingris Jacoby with pieces by Mozart, Chopin and Brahams.
