Fans of Imelda May are in for a treat when she brings her nationwide tour to Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall on December 7.

Ireland’s reigning musical queen, the truly unique Imelda May is set to return to the UK this winter for a comprehensive tour.

The tour follows the release of Imelda May’s latest studio album Tribal, which rocketed to Number 3 in the UK Album Charts and Number 1 in Ireland.

Tickets for the tour are now on sale.

Far from mellowing with her recent motherhood, Imelda sizzles more than ever with her leather-clad attitude. Tribal is as primal a rock ‘n’ roll record as you could ever find, infused with the spirit of Sun Studios, where the sound was born in Memphis, Tennessee – but given a 21st century twist by a girl from the back streets of Dublin.

“There are no lullabies on this album,” laughs the lady who has brought rockabilly back into fashion 60 years after it was kicked into life by young men like Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley, Gene Vincent and Jerry Lee Lewis.

The gig in Nottingham will feature Imelda May plus special guests.

It gets under way at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £35-£25 and are available by going online to or by calling the Royal Centre’s box office on 0115 989 5555.
