If you’re a traditional and Dixieland jazz enthusiast, or want to support the Alzheimer’s Society, you’re in for a real treat this weekend.
The Rotary Club of Hope Valley has announced that Mart Rodger Manchester Jazz band will once again appear for Rotary’s 11th Charity Jazz Evening at Calver Village Hall on Saturday, October 18.
Rotarian Alisma Clark advises that enthusiasts should contact her to book their tickets sooner rather than later, as the past ten charity Mart Roger Jazz Evenings organised by Hope Valley’s Rotarians have been a sellout.
No tickets will be available at the door on the night. If you can attend, you’ll be following famous names like Humphrey Lyttelton, Cy Laurie, Marion Montgomery, Yank Lawson and Middleton Pollock, who have all shared in wonderful jazz evenings with Mart Rodger Manchester Jazz. But there’s another bonus, as all proceeds will be passed to the Alzheimer’s Society and other local charities.
Calver Village Hall, which has a bar, is once again the venue for this jazz spectacular. The fun starts at 7.30 pm, with tickets £10 each. Book your places by contacting Alisma Clark on 01433 631585.
