Competitors are polishing up their songs and working on their stage presence for the must-see event of 2015 - the Band of the Year competition.
Ten acts have now been selected by judges to compete in the annual event at Real Time Music in Chesterfield.
They will be bidding to be crowned the county’s top band and succeed last year’s champions, Somewhat Unprepared, to the throne.
Niki Stephenson, manager of Real Time Music, and event curator, said: “We have approximately 37 entries, some extremely good.
“The original music has been of a really good standard and there are some standout songs, so I am looking forward to seeing it all live.”
“I compered the competition for the first time last year. It was such a positive experience I can’t wait to do it again.”
The top ten groups bidding to take part in the final will be judged s at live semi-finals.
Playing on Wednesday, February 25, in the first semi-final at Real Time will be:
House Of Thieves
Playing on March 4, in the second semi-final will be:

The outright winner from each night will go through to the final on March 11 where they will be up against the three highest-scoring semi-finalists overall.
Finalists will not only be bidding to take the title of top band but also a stack of prizes
And they are counting on their followers to cheer them on at Real Time in Marsden Street, Chesterfield.
