Sisters back for second gig

The Haley Sisters.
The Haley Sisters.

The very popular Jo-Ann and Becky, aka The Haley Sisters, will be playing their special mix of country, folk, blues and rock at Uppertown Social Centre on Saturday, December 10.

When they played there in May, it was a sell-out and several regulars missed out on tickets.

Many think they are the most underrated country roots singer songwriters in the UK. Good solid songs featuring a magical blend of vocal harmonies and top notch musicianship are the trademarks of the band which was first formed in 1989 and have appeared with, Freddy Fender, George Hamilton IV and Daniel O’Donnell, to name but a few. Becky provides vocals and a powerful rhythm and finger-style guitar. Jo-Ann also sings and is the rock-solid anchor on bass, while Brian dazzles on guitar with his flat picking and slide. Grown men have been moved to tears after listening to their angelic harmonies delivering some of the most emotive and heartwarming renditions of both covers and their own original material.

Humour and musical diversity mean The Haleys always provide a most memorable and entertaining show.
