THE Shambles will be strutting their stuff in the latest music night at Matlock’s TwentyTen venue tomorrow.
This is a fluid but talented collective of talented musicians who will be working the crowd up into a frenzy with the selection of knockout material.
On Saturday, March 5, the venue on Dale Road welcomes local band The Something?
Andy and Leigh Page, formerly of Darley Dale rock outfit Glisten, teamed up with drummer Pete Grant and bassist Jamie Uphill to form The Something?; an indie band with attitude. With original drummer Pete moving to London in 2008, the band have recruited sticksman Jonathan “Smithy” Smith, formerly of Pressure fame.
Their first gig was played to a packed house at Darley Dale’s Square and Compass, where the crowd saw an explosive two-hour set comprising original songs penned by Andy, interspersed with a careful selection of some of the finest indie rock numbers from the last 20 years.
They have scheduled summer gigs for Mychoone Fest, Birchover Carnival and Andy has a solo spot at Y-Not Fest to look forward to.
