There’s a treat for fans of Iron Maiden at Nottingham’s Rock City on Saturday, April 2, when the UK tribute band Iron-On Maiden will be performing a special gig to celebrate 30 years of Iron Maiden music.
One of the real band’s former guitarists, Dennis Stratton, will be performing the whole of the classic 1980 Iron Maiden album, which reached number four in the UK album charts and catapulted Maiden to international stardom, featuring songs such as Running Free, Transylvania, Phantom Of the Opera and the eponymous title track. Then the tribute will play an hour of other Maiden anthems including Run To The Hills, Number Of The Beast and many more.
Opening the show will be Budgie-tribute band In For The Kill, repeating history as Budgie and Iron Maiden toured together in the early 80s.
Tickets are £10 in advance, £12 on the door and are available from Rock City box office. More information is available from Russ on 07903 610487.
