Best-selling novel The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas has been adapted for the stage and is showing at Nottingham’s Theatre Royal until March 21.

John Boyle’s emotive tale follows the unlikely friendship between two boys during the Second World War.

The story is seen through the eyes of the son of the commandant at a concentration camp, whose forbidden friendship with a Jewish boy has devastating consequences.
