Northumberland Theatre Company will be presenting a Live And Local show -
A Wife or The Gallows? and Other Telling Tales - at Florence Nightingale Memorial Hall, Holloway, on Thursday, October 1, starting at 7.30pm.
This is a show that has been described as a ‘a northern Canterbury Tales’.
It is an evening of five tale-telling misadventures with comic, swashbuckling and light-hearted traditional stories.
All of them are linked through the use of character, music and song in a Canterbury Tales, story-telling format.
The show includes popular Northern tales such as A Snowball in June and Midside Maggie’s Bannock, not to mention The Adventures of Launcelot Errington and his Nephew Mark and other unremembered classics.
A Wife or The Gallows? and Other Telling Tales aims to be an evening to delight, enchant and entertain with the use of music, song and also plenty of humour.
Tickets and further information for this forthcoming and eagerly-awaited show, which launches the new Live And Local season in Crich and Holloway, are available by calling Dave on 01773 856545.
