Three of the most respected country singer-songwriters on the music scene will band together for an evening called Wine, Women And Song at Buxton Opera House on Wednesday, June 15, at 7.30pm.
Gretchen Peters’s intelligent and introspective songs have been covered by pop, country, blues and folk artists all over the world including Faith Hill, Bonnie Raitt, Etta James and Bryan Adams. Her own albums, The Secret of Life and Gretchen Peters, are already considered two of contemporary music’s top critical picks.
Suzy Bogguss achieved huge chart success in the 1980s and ‘90s, releasing one platinum and three gold albums and charting six top ten singles (including Letting Go and Just Like The Weather), winning the Academy of Country Music’s award for Top New Female Vocalist and the Country Music Association’s Horizon Award.
Matraca Berg’s songs have been recorded by artists as diverse as Reba McEntire, Tanya Tucker and Marie Osmond and she received critical acclaim with albums such as Lying to the Moon and Bittersweet Surrender as well as singles including I Got It Bad.
